How do I have multiple inputs go into one RAM storage

I have a keyboard of numbers 0-9 and I want it when I press 5 it will put 0101 and lock it in, But also be able to put other numbers as well into the same RAM slot. So basically a editable RAM graph, I might have selectors latter, but right now I just need to get this input system to work.
