I tried having a constant (1) going into an AND gate, then a NOT with a cycle. The simulator complains heavily and I don't have any waveform coming out showing the expected oscillation. Any pointer is most welcomed. (Trying to get a circuit that counts the oscillations. The ripple carry adder is all good, the only snag is the RO at the moment.)

Can you elaborate a little more on your circuit proposal? I was able to get a functioning circuit as described in the Wiki article, but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.
